The exceptional quality of the scholarship and educational skills of the faculty in this department are evident throughout this web site.  In addition to these important qualities is what sets this department apart from others; which is, the quality of the people of the department.  A dedicated and hard-working staff complements the scholarly faculty in creating an atmosphere that promotes the education for pre and postdoctoral trainees at the highest level.  This very congenial atmosphere improves learning and scholarly activity for all.  It is a pleasure to be a member of this department and a joy to be able to contribute to the creation of new knowledge in such a friendly and creative atmosphere.
